On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Rebelle vzw is hosting a new edition of its Literary Café in Brussels.
During this session, we will discuss the book "The Seers" by Sulaiman Addonia — a powerful story about Hannah, a young Eritrean refugee who ends up homeless in London. The book offers a compelling exploration of themes such as identity, migration, colonial trauma, love, and the UK’s immigration policies.
The Literary Café takes an intersectional feminist approach. We create a safe and inclusive space where your impressions and experiences are at the heart of the conversation.
Our volunteer, Evelyn, will guide the discussion using excerpts, media examples, and thought-provoking questions.
You don’t need to have read the book in advance — listening, sharing, and reflecting is what matters most.
